The EPBMPB, WPBMPB heat sensors are normally-open devices designed to close an electrical circuit upon activation.  Sensors use dual action, electric fire detection thermostats that employ two independent methods of detection:  rate-of-rise and fixed temperature.  Models are available in configurations that include fixed temperature and combination rate-of-rise/fixed temperature sensors. 

The WPBMPB Series Weather/Moisture Proof Heat Detectors consist of a cast metal box, gasket and special steel cover plate integrated with the sensor.  A crossed wire guard is added for extra protection.  The emerging wire points are sealed with epoxy, increasing resistance to moisture.  The cast metal box has four wide entrances for 1/2" rigid conduit.  The unit offers combined protection against weather and condensation in the conduit.

The EPBMPB Series Explosion/Moisture Proof Heat Detectors consist of a cast metal box, cover plate, moisture resistant gasket and a modified heat sensor.  The back box has two opposing wire entrances threaded for 1/2-inch rigid conduit.  The box, cover and base are precision machined for extremely close tolerance fit.

The XAL Hazardous Location Fire Alarm Pull Station is activated by lifting the front cover and pulling down the ring.  This quick, easy to use two-step process prevents unintentional operation.  Unit is reset by depressing shaft and returning plate to original position.

Suitable for hazardous locations where flammable gases or vapors, combustible dusts or easily ignitable  fibers or flyings are present.  Ideal for installation at petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, storage areas, and other processing facilities where hazardous substances are handled or stored.  Used in areas where emergency control of fire alarm or signal circuits is required.

EXPLOSION-PROOF PHOTO-ELECTRIC SMOKE DETECTOR V9006-001-013

The V9006-001-013 Explosion proof Smoke Detector has been designed for use in hazardous industrial and commercial locations.  It is a sensitive yet rugged, state-of-the-art, life safety device.  The detector is designed to operate effectively with both slow smoldering and fast burning fires.

The V9006-001-013 detector uses a solid state infrared emitting diode (IRED) and a light sensing photovoltaic cell arranged in a labyrinth assembly.  Such an assembly permits free access to smoke but restricts external light.  A light beam from an IRED with associated optics is projected across the interior of the labyrinth into a light catcher.  A recessed photodiode provides voltage for amplification to "alarm signal" level.  The main enclosure of the detector contains the electronics, alarm relay, supervision relay and facilities for connection to system wiring.

For use in combustible storage facilities, munitions manufacturing, volatile chemical storage, chemical processing plants, petroleum refineries, turbine enclosures or any hazardous location where photoelectric smoke detection is required.

Alarm System Connections

Each detector contains one set of Form A (SPST) N/O contacts for connection to the alarm initiating circuit and a set of (SPST) N/C power supervision contacts.

The detector locks in on alarm and has a lock-in alarm indicator (LED) on the outer surface of the housing.  Detector reset is achieved by momentary interruption of power.
