The Edwards 7000-HSD is a heavy duty
industrial handset (with dial) that is built to stand up to adverse
conditions. It is designed with a vandal resistant 12-button metal
keypad, armored cord including an anchored lanyard of aircraft steel and
encapsulated circuit boards that are impervious to water and condensation.
Magnetic reed hook switches reduce internal moving parts. All
stainless steel fittings are rust proof and resistant to corrosion. The Edwards 7000-HS meets the same high standards as the 7000-HSD and is ideal for wet, corrosive, noisy or tough use areas. The circuitry is water, dust, and weatherproof. It has been designed to endure high usage in damp or corrosive conditions. The 7000-HS is the same as the 7000-HSD but does not have a built-in dialer. Many functions on the 7000-CHS-SP are also present on these models. |

The Edwards 7000-CHS-SP
provides access to all the features of the Edwards integrated communications
system. The 16 character LDC display shows all telephone, intercom,
and paging status information related to the unit. Ring tones are
locally generated and produce cadences distinctive to the type of incoming
call. Ringer volume settings can be adjusted to high, low, or off. The 28 push buttons include a 12-button standard telephone keypad, one speaker phone button, one push-to-talk button, and one volume up/down switch. One menu button, eight programmable general-purpose function keys and four programmable special function keys are also included. Two-way intercom communications to a room speaker can be privately conducted through the handset via a voice-activated switch (VOX), or through the built-in microphone and speaker using the push-to-talk switch (TALK) for manual audio direction control. Telephone conversations can be privately conducted through the handset, or through the built-in microphone and speaker in hands-free (auto) or push-to-talk (manual) mode. One-way paging to speakers can either be conducted through the handset or through the microphone in the hands-free or push-to-talk mode. Each Edwards 7000-CHS-SP requires two shielded 22AWG pair for audio and data and one 18AWG pair for power. The field wiring terminates at the Edwards unit with a factory-supplied modular receptacle. All field wires terminate at the central equipment location to a customer-provided distribution punch block. Maximum distance from the 7000-CHS-SP to the central equipment rack is 1,000 feet (305m). |

The Edwards 7000-CHS is an
attractive, two-piece design intercom telephone whose neutral color blends
in with any institutional or commercial environment. The unit features
three programmable, one-touch dialing buttons. These buttons can be
programmed to allow one-button dialing. They can also be programmed as
call-in buttons. Up to nine additional frequently called numbers can
be stored in memory. The memory is protected by a long-life lithium
battery. A redial button allows one-touch dialing of the last number called. The flash button can be used to activate system calling features such as call transfer and call forwarding. A ringer volume control allow adjustment of the ring tone volume to suit the surrounding environment. Many functions found on the 7000-CHS-SP are also present on this model. |

The Edwards 7000-STA
Series are Local Operating Network (LON) based, multi-channel,
microprocessor-controlled communications systems. The systems are
capable of simultaneously handling telephone conversations, intercom,
program, and page distribution using standard DTMF telephones with
electronic ringers, Edwards Administrative Telephones and speakers.
The maximum system capacity is either 16 or 32 speaker circuits. The administrative telephone card manages data and audio for the administrative telephones. The field wiring is terminated at the administrative telephones through a customer-provided distribution punch block. Each card includes a 12-foot (3.7m) pigtail cable with connector. All audio functions in the system operate with the following priority scheme. Audio functions in descending order of priority are: emergency page, civil emergency, manual time tone and high priority event tone, all call and zone page, intercom, custodial tone, low priority event tone, and audio program distribution. A lower priority event may be interrupted by a higher priority event if necessary. Interrupted lower priority functions will be restored after the higher priority function ends. Telephone conversations will not be interrupted by the above listed functions. The master clock feature provides a 500 event, 16 schedule, and 32 multi-purpose zone clock. This clock can function as a slave or master time keeping device, capable of correcting both digital and analog secondary clocks. |
