GENERAL INFORMATION

Perma-GuardTM/ Oil & Gas Gathering tube piping is extruded using high density polyethylene (PE-3408) resin to produce
pipe that is ideally suited for oil and gas gathering, methane recovery and water supply lines. Manufactured in
accordance with ASTM D2513, latest issue, resin materials are carefully chosen to comply with cell classification
345464C for black HDPE pipes, and made in accordance or listed per the following standards:
• Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI) TR-4, latest issue for PE-3408 resin, having a hydrostatic design basis (HDB) of
1600-psi @ 23°C (73°F) and 800-psi at 60°C (140°F).
• American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 15LE, latest edition.

Available Sizes:

Iron Pipe Sizes (IPS) tubing sizes from 1/2" through 12" diameters.

Available Dimensional Ratios (DR) and Pressure Class (PC) Ratings:

Available in 4 standard dimensional ratios (SDR) of 7.0, 9.0, 11.0 and 17.0. Other dimensional ratios can be
made available upon request.
Corresponding working pressure class rating at =73°F for the above DR’s range from 171-psi to 64-psi respectively, for gas applications.
