XHHW APPLICATIONS:
  • General Purpose wiring for control, switchboard, lighting and power circuits in residential and commercial buildings and industrial plants, and for utility substations, meters, and generating plants.
XHHW SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Voltage: 600 Volts.
  • Temperature: 90°C.
  • Conductor: Class B stranded, annealed Bare copper per UL 44.
  • Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLP) meeting the physical and electrial requirements of UL 44 for Type XHHW-2 wire.
  • Standards: Meets the requirements for UL 44 for Type XHHW-2. Conforms to ICEA S-66-524 (NEMA WC7) column B thickness. Conforms to Federal Specification J-C-30B.
  • Ampacity: Based on not more than three conductors in raceway or cable or earth with an ambient temperature of 30°C per NEC Table 310-16
